Just some scholars whose careers would be contradicted by the existence of these things have stated in their opinion that it's a natural occuring structure or that it couldn't exist because the people back then didn't have the capability. But since then, there have been two places, Gobleki Tepe and the sunken temple in Japan which prove we DID have the capability back then to create such things.
