I really like this whole series. The host is an intelligent and imaginative host, unlike most hosts who simply narrate the facts. It's very interesting to see some of the obstacles Bingham would have faced, and to learn about Machu Picchu. There is only so much you can do in an hour, of course, and the Indiana Jones hat is a marketing tool I could live without. I just shrug and say, whatever. That doesn't change the fact that the host is intelligent, well-educated, and knowledgable and physically able as far as work and survival skills go. That is what makes it an interesting series. In fact, as far as I know, this was the seminal history channel series that kicked off the reality series' like Man v. Wild, etc. Very interesting. I really like this whole series.
