It is not that there may not be some kind of creator but that there is no need to postulate one because it adds nothing to our knowledge. Teaches us that not knowing is a form of knowledge.. and simply begs the question on an even more complex god’s own genesis.

Ok this conversation is getting lengthy. Do you think we could continue in a different setting (facebook, skype, messenger, email, ect.)? Secondly, Id like to say thank you for maintaining a since of civility and organization in your response. Lastly to clarify the intent of any response i make. I am in no way imposing my position upon you or attempting to disprove you. My intention was to perhaps provide clarification of my thoughts,thus leading me to objectively answer your questions from my position as a religious individual. My post were merely an attempt to possibly present new understanding or inspire thought. As you expect me to enter into conversation with an open mind, I to hold these expectations to you (this is not to infer that you are narrow minded, only to reiterate a fact). Hope that clears that up. Now, would love to continue our conversation more. Let me know if your interested and ill figure out a way to do so.

ok i will try to be brief
1 i did not say “gather to flock?” o said gather THE flock . i hope that clears that up.next while your reasoning for the heirachy may be part of it history has shown it has a kot to do with power and control. also you stated “Christians had a safe place to gather together ” i an native Canadian look up our religious native schools ans remind me how safe they are/were?
2 here is the link to the study http://holysmoke.org/icr-pri.htm . the rest of your post states to me that people need to believe in order to give them purpose. first i have no belief and find that knowing that i only have this life gives me more reason to live it right. also even if you are right that many would lose purpose does not translate into proof of god.
3 at the risk of sounding rude that statement is meaningless and provides no proof of anything
4 yes we can observe it look up the long term e-coli experiment. it is directly observed evolution from one species to another. also there are some gaps for sure but admitting that science doesn’t have all the answers or infinite evidence does not mean god did it. raising questions about science does not equal evidence for god.
5 again none of these questions provide proof for your god. the fact that you believe 100% means nothing to me. i can point to conspiracies, gods,mythical characters, astrology,faith healing and so on that some believe 100% . but without empirical evidence their degree of faith does nothing to convince me.

in closing as i have stated before. if your religion gives you joy and helps you be a better person then by all means enjoy. but please don’t force it upon others. claim it as fact, try to corrupt science with it or claim some moral superiority over the rest of us because we don’t believe.
