Golden Harvest in the PhilippinesA cinematic documentary from Chibi Moku about Wing Chun Kung Fu being introduced to the Philippines.

Shot over a period of 2 weeks in Manila and Laguna. Featuring Sifu Steve McGowan and Sifu Robert Greene. Also featuring actor Raymond Bagatsing and the rest of the Golden Harvest team.

Wing Chun is a Chinese form of martial arts that has quite unique techniques and foundations.

Wing Chun rip-off! This form of Wing Chun is adapted so much it defies a lot of the basic principals.. This is nothing like the form Ip Man teached. It looks much less effective and more show off based.. Wing Chun doesn't look cool or show-offy in any way in its original form, but is every bit the more effective than what is show here..

This is just a commercial for Golden Harvest schools. I couldn't finish it. The whole time I could only think: 'we have our own damned martial arts! Will you guys stop with the cultural shame already. Why is it that the world's armed and police forces have adopted our martial arts while most Filipinos forget it exists?'

Just what is Indie? When I first heard that word I thought it was perhaps an Indian movie. Then I thought it was new music. After watching this I'm thinking it's a type of tai chi of the arms. I just googled it and apparently Indie was started in the 1980s....where have I been?

However, I'm old an I'm off to bed with my cup of cocoa and hot water bottle.

Thank you so much for all the documentaries ;D
