The idea that war is essential for population control is based on the idea that the Earth's resources are severely limited. This is not the case. With equitable distribution of resources and a little administrative magic every person on the Earth would have enough resources to live in comfort with needs and wants satisfied. Not only that but the condom is a far better method of population control than the Atom bomb. Birth policies would have been implemented had the wars not happened - same result. Population always explodes after war anyway so the decrease is mitigated I’ve heard this argument from misanthropists of every conceivable shade of ****.
