First, "plain and simple" is a cliche. It's like saying "let me dumb it down for you", or "bottom line ..." Why would you put a cliche right in the beginning of what is supposed to be an authoritative work? Then to say that it is the US agenda when you only show that it might be some faction's agenda, and then it's not actually world domination.

“Plain and simple: The US agenda is world domination.”

This is not a phrase that should be in a documentary without being immediately justified. Let's just remember there are big families behind these oil companies, banks, and insurance companies that lost collateral in Iran. They are a mix of American, British, and Iranian-American. Those who say this are witless. Islam says: 'Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Kill them, put them to the sword and scatter their armies'.”
~ The Ayatollah KhomeiniWe should not judge Islam merely on the words of a a politically driven and so called religious leader. To understand Islam, the least you can do is read the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad.
Every religion teaches us the same thing and every prophet that came said the same thing that God is one and the same but, sadly the message always gets manipulated or miscommunicated on the way and all we end up hearing is "My God is the only one"God be with humanity. Peace.

@ Ozyxcba 1

“Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those who say this are witless. In Macedonia, the US troops were deployed as part of the reserve contingent (approved by the UN and allowed by Macedonian government) for the war in Bosnia (1992 - 1995), and in Albania in 1997, the US marines were used to extract the staff from the American embassy in the capital Tirana during violent demonstrations which were the result of the longstanding internal political conflict in Albania.

@ Mik Rom,

The US never attacked either Macedonia or Albania (in your list Macedonia appears as being attacked twice by the US – 1993 & 1994, and Albania in 1997). This is definitively not the right place for you to socialize.
So far people are free to have opinions.Here is a suggestion, if you see that a doc has a lot of TDFcomments, many facebook "like this", that when you screen the comments you put it in the order "Sort by Best Rating" then you should conclude the critical analysis "may" or "may not" be in favor of your liking of the movie but that it is to the liking of many.After which, please give us your CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE FILM, and we will see if it matches our taste.

isPermaLink="false">http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/?p=5385#comment-118546

Regarding international power structures, and the tensions(to understate) we face today, Iran is most decidedly a major threat.However grave a threat Iran is to regional 'peace'(if one can call it that) and/or to International stability, the primary threat is nether Iran, nor even Israel, but United States foreign policy, most particularly as it pertains to the Middle East.I refer not only to current policy and engagements but also to past United States Middle Eastern policy. The Unites States CIA operation to remove the democratically elected prime minister of Iran and then to subsequently install the Shah during the Eisenhower administration has to be the single most inexcusable, dumbest, blunder of post-war United States Middle East foreign made. And the repercussions in no small measure are what we are now forced to witness.Inside Iran, however, as pertains to human rights violations, Iran is a MAJOR threat to civilization, and to common decency, right down there with the Taliban, and North Korea, and Uganda, to mention a few of the worst.Human rights is every human's business, and all humans have a duty to interfere in the internal affairs of Iran as pertains to state sponsored human rights violations. Just as ever human on this planet has the moral obligation to Interfere with the internal and external policies of the United States regarding the, now legal, state sponsored US torture of human being.There is not much I can do. I suspect the same predicament confronts just about everyone. Still, ever opportunity that comes my way, no matter how seeming insignificant or futile, should be ceased upon. It is not easy, E-mailing the White House, etc. It's almost embracing, even humiliating, participating in grassroots efforts when one is able to find time. It is not easy because one knows it can make no difference.But I am not absolutely convinced of that.

Regarding international power structures, and the tensions(to understate) we face today, Iran is most decidedly a major threat.

However grave a threat Iran is to regional ‘peace’(if one can call it that) and/or to International stability, the primary threat is nether Iran, nor even Israel, but United States foreign policy, most particularly as it pertains to the Middle East.

I refer not only to current policy and engagements but also to past United States Middle Eastern policy. Someday maybe kinda Iran might get a Nuclear weapon, so we have to get in to another war and kill more innocent civilians. You're knowledge of history is a joke as well. In 1979 became an Islamist Republic by kicking out the US puppet ruler the Sha, they haven't attacked anybody. Who has Israel and the USA attacked in that same amount of time??!!In the same period of time, Israel, a self-declared Jewish state, attacked Iraq in 1981, bombing the power station at Osirik, claiming it was a clandestine weapons factory. Subsequent examination of the ruins following the 2003 invasion proved Israel had lied. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon. This led to the Massacres at Sabra and Shatilla. In February 2003 Israel staged incursions into Gaza and Nablus. In September 2007 Israel bombed Syria, again insisting they were destroying a clandestine weapons laboratory. Again there was no evidence to support Israel's claims. In 2006, Israel attacked Lebanon, killing 1200, mostly civilians, several UN observers, and littering the landscape with land mines on their way out. In February 2008 Israel again raided Gaza, killing over 100. HAMAS agreed to a cease fire and kept it for 6 months until November 4, when Israel again attacked, killing 6 HAMAS members, and launching operation CAST LEAD. 1300 Gazans, mostly civilians, were killed. Israel lost 13 soldiers. Violations of international law include the use of White Phosphorus incendiary bombs against civilians and non-military targets. The United Nations investigated, but Israel refused to cooperate. In May 2010, Israel attacked an international aid flotilla bring food and medical supplies to Gaza in international waters. 9 people were murdered including an American from New York.And what about Israel being an undeclared nuclear power? Nuclear technology stolen from the USA by Johnathan Pollard a convicted Israeli spy who also sold those secrets to Russia????????In the same period of time, the United States, officially a secular nation but predominantly Christian, attacked El Salvador (1980), Libya (1981), Sinai (1982), Lebanon (1982 1983), Egypt (1983), Grenada (1983), Honduras (1983), Chad (1983), Persian Gulf (1984), Libya (1986) , Bolivia (1986), Iran (1987), Persian Gulf (1987), Kuwait (1987), Iran (1988), Honduras (1988), Panama (1988), Libya (1989), Panama (1989), Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru (1989), Philippines (1989), Panama (1989-1990), Liberia (1990), Saudi Arabia (1990), Iraq (1991), Zaire (1991), Sierra Leone (1992), Somalia (1992), Bosnia-Herzegovina (1993 to present), Macedonia (1993), Haiti (1994), Macedonia (1994), Bosnia (1995), Liberia (1996), Central African Republic (1996), Albania (1997), Congo/Gabon (1997), Sierra Leon (1997), Cambodia (1997), Iraq (1998), Guinea/Bissau (1998), Kenya/Tanzania (1998 to 1999), Afghanistan/Sudan (1998), Liberia (1998), East Timor (1999), Serbia (1999), Sierra Leon (2000), Yemen (2000), East Timor (2000), Afghanistan (2001 to present), Yemen (2002), Philippines (2002) , Cote d'Ivoire (2002), Iraq (2003 to present), Liberia (2003), Georgia/Djibouti (2003), Haiti (2004), Georgia/Djibouti/Kenya/Ethiopia/Yemen/Eritrea War on Terror (2004), Pakistan drone attacks (2004 to present), Somalia (2007), South Ossetia/Georgia (2008), Syria (2008), Yemen (2009), Haiti (2010), etc. etc. etc. etc.So, who is the danger to world peace?

Your lust for pre-emptive war is just stupid. But Iranium in the mind of a simpleton is a dangerous thing.But back to the balancing act. This doc is about war as a foreign policy, economic growth tool while the wars are sold as 'self defense' , 'must do now' actions. All the while the information systems (media, intelligence ) that are crucial to democracy are following the policy makers lead seemingly without any informative analysis. After the fact, the informative analysis that was there and suppressed comes out and soft excuses for ignoring it are mumbled for a few days then we all move on.Iranium is about the very real fears of a Nuclear Iran. I dont think it pays attention to the effect of our past policy decisions on nurturing the fearful factors nor the potential for changes in policy as alternative methods of attaining peace. To get a deeper understanding of the Iranian people see a doc called "Iran - 7 Faces of a civilisation" (an empires series) it shows a very different Iran for 99,9999999999999999999999999% of its existence.This Iran/Persia didn't become what we know now even through Alexander the Great's invasion, nor the Mongol Hordes. It was the Mid East Policy of the last 50 years that changed all that. Only in 1979 did Iran become the great danger. Thats 7000 years of enlightenment vs 32 years of extreme fundamentalism. Intelligent thought would suggest there has been a recent traumatic influence. As History and politics are no longer taught in state schools with the few that do focusing on Hitler, Stalin Mao, as well as older irrelevant (to our modern governance) figures most westerners had little more than a glancing awareness of the middle east.Then suddenly, their oil prices shoot up, they are shown images of this bearded hate spewing barbarian savage and hey, we live in a free press democracy so it must all be true. They are out to get us. We have no time for weak politicians who give the barbarians the impression we are a weak people who can be trampled on. Where do I sign up, I'm gonna kill some rag heads.The Iranian Nuclear project is supervised by the Russians who themselves a have had actual problems with the" bearded nightmares" that seem to so scare the west. They faced this problem on their own soil and for no financial gain. The last thing they would do is finance or assist World Jihadists. The Soviets were at war with world Jihadists not too long ago and America was abetting them. If anyone should be called to account for contributions to global Jihad it is the USA.

I don’t think Iranium is a balancing view to this doc, though it does need viewing because we are where we are with the enemies that we have.
