Sorry, but the country (kingdom) of Croatia dates back to 925 AD. It lost its sovereignty in 1918 when it joined with the Kingdom of Hungry. It became a part of the Soviet Union until its fall. Read the time-line of Croatia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Croatian_history . Just because a country gives up its sovereignty does not mean that it no longer exists as a place. Italy, Greece, Portugal, France, Germany and the rest of the countries of Europe are still referred to as countries even though they have given up their economic sovereignty by joining the European Union.

Tesla was born in Austro-Hungarian Empire. Croatia does not exist at the time Tesla was born. Todays Croatia was created in 1991. Get your facts straight!

excellent comment, it does sum up a lot about science, society, economy and human nature in general. Bottom line, if people were not so evil and selfish (especially those who run our governments and finances) then the benevolent characters and ideas would not be suppressed. I’m sure that at least 3 governments in the world have the technology of Tesla all worked out and perfected , but why would they want to give the humanity free energy extracted from the earth and the atmosphere or whatever, if the few powerful men in the world can’t make profit of it. I mean, we live in a time when a few centers of power are releasing viruses and creating epidemics only to sell vaccines and medications so that their corporations can make profits. Good old-fashioned doing good to fellow man has no room in modern world, that’s why i think in the decades to come people like Tesla are going to be much more acknowledged for their humanitarian ideology.

The previous comment about the whole documentary seeming like one giant preview to the actual documentary hit the nail right on the head.. Hell, I could make a one too by just stealing 10 second clips from 200 other shows about a subject..
Nicola Tesla was, in my opinion the greatest inventor ever to live. Edison was just a fraction of the genius of Tesla. Edison was very business savvy and smart I’m sure but he was a bad man with a dark heart. What Tesla had in raw brainpower, he lacked in social restraint. This documentary did a good job giving credit to Tesla but in my opinion, it did a horrible job in presenting the facts… It went on and on about the resonant frequency of the earth and brain waves and actually blamed the “Russian woodpecker” Duga-3 over the horizon radar system for the NY blackout and controlling the minds of New Yorkers.. Hmmm.. The power goes out in NYC and people start acting crazy… Must be a Russian mind control device!!! give me a break.. And don’t even get me started on what they say about HAARP…. “it can channel a bolt of lightning with the power of Several Mt St Helens eruptions per second!!” OMG!!! pleeeze.. Notice that statement or anything like it didn’t come from the designer of HAARP. It came from some nutjob who probably authored a book about HAARP or some other government conspiracy.. Please, don’t email me with your anti HAARP crap. It’s a facility designed to study what effect, if any, we can have on artificially ionizing the ionosphere to reflect radio waves. Something that is done on a daily basis by the sun. If it was a massive super weapon I assure you it wouldn’t be operated by civilians and you damn sure wouldn’t be able to drive right up to it and have pictures of it all over the internet and the chief designer wouldn’t be giving interviews about it. If you want to be “anti weather control” then start a coalition to ban the sun. I enjoyed watching the documentary and even recommend it, but just beware there’s a lot of sensational crap in there that might make you look like a dumb ass at the water-cooler the next day.
my $0.02 Other than that, great show! :D Maybe I’m just getting old and cynical.
I hope the growing interest in Nicola Tesla continues and he gains his rightful place in history as the man who enabled the technological revolution.

Tesla (born in Croatia) is maybe the only scientist that keeps inspiring all spheres of human interests -writers, painters, sculptors, musicians, other scientists, thinkers… He is clearly hundreds of years in front of his time… on one occasion he discussed about einstein’s creating energy from the atom splitting (and about using fossil fuels for that matter) claiming that it is totally wrong path -no energy should be created on destruction- he noted- energy must be harness with creation… more than a hundred years ago he talked about pollution, and yes -he discovered how to have free energy for all humanity (once you study it it really makes sense and it is quite simple, but money cartels think that we are not yet ready for it)-in that sense he is the only and true Prometheus!!!

That depends on what one means by “free energy”. “Free” could mean that it takes no human effort or consumption of a resource to obtain a useful form of energy. It can still come from a perfectly valid source; energy cannot be created or destroyed, only converted to one form from another. I think what Tesla thought he could harness was the combined electrical activity of the atmosphere; to basically focus the world’s lightening to one spot and harness it…ultimatly that would be solar energy stored in the weather system that was being collected.

Well said , I really enjoyed reading your post. It made me think on a whole new level about our energy resources. I can’t believe that most of our society the world governments and corporate conglomerates are so concerned about money that they ignore the fact that our planet is running out of resources just to line their own pockets , but i guess greed makes people do stupid things and be selfish. I hope Tesla’s dream comes true and for the world to wake up and realize that we need to take care of our planet and use our resources wisely because at the rate things are going right now I predict were heading for self destruction. Earth might be the only planet in the universe that supports life.

Maybe the world doesn’t or didn’t now about Nikola Tesla and great things that
he made, but everyone here in post Yugoslavian countries known’s very well about him and his work, he is the greatest man that world ever had and we need to be grateful on those things that he gave us.

I wish someone would put a quality doco together about Tesla that doesn’t have constant scene changes and annoying music. Listening to experts talking for longer than 10 seconds really helps the viewer to have a deeper understanding of the subject. When watching this I felt like a was only watching a trailer and the real thing was going to kick in any moment. Does anyone know of a good quality doco about Tesla and his inventions?
