There are several variations of this lecture... all of them are good. I am endorsing these videos from a totally disinterested point of view. As a rule, I seldom watch any video more than once. I've watched and re-watched this video about six times. What you will learn is absolutely JAW DROPPING! Go to YouTube and search for SHIFTING BASELINES. The lecturist is Dr Jeremy Jackson, PhD of The Scripps Institute of Oceanography. It is awesome. Although all his lectures are mostly the same, he drops and adds some materials from each variation of his lecture. So you will learn a little bit more by watching all his lecture variants.

For anyone interested in Oceanography or the environmental state of the sea, there is one lecture you must view.
