Do not speak of which you do not know. If you did not study the sciences of the religion properly, under certified tutelage etc; you cannot quote any hadith or verse from the Quran so easily, assuming whatever interpretation you want of it so freely; and share it to others.

The question of faith is not sth that can be viewed with an already preconceived conclusion. People who really want to understand Islam, in their effort to find the Creator and Master of the Universe, would try to find both sides of the story.

#Degrading any belief, whether Islam or Christianity etc. reflects nothing but pure disrespect for fellow human beings and their choice of religion.

That is why they leave u and settle down and get married with us. What a load of nonsense. Life perpetuates because animals reproduce, but that does not mean that the purpose of life itself is thus reproduction. What a dismal and repetitive purpose that would be.

Study biology and you will learn that in many species of animals, it is the minority (not the majority) that actually partake in reproduction. Only about 5% of mole rats, for example, ever reproduce.

I think you are confusing politics and religion. Imagine a society where the vast majority of individuals are uneducated, then feed those individuals fake religious rhetoric to further your political agenda. (By “uneducated,” I am referring to individuals who have never even graduated elementary school.)

As far as your comment regarding the execution of homosexuality and hatred towards Jews and Christians as taught by Islam — the same can be said about the teachings of Christianity. I believe the majority, if not all, anti-gay movements are headed by Christians. Also, the quote you have from the Quran seems to be taken out of context, because the Quran in fact states that Jews and Christians are people of the book and came before Islam, and therefore, they should be respected.

Woman have held positions of authority, the most famous being Benazir Bhutto (Pakistani PM). There are countless women muslim ambassadors (i.e. Maliha Lodhi). The majority of the Middle-East and a few other Muslim nations are monarchies, in such systems, you will find that there are numerous female authorities (i.e. Sheikha Mozah of Qatar, Queen Rania of Jordan, Queen Noor etc), so your argument is some what incorrect and misleading. Also, you stated there is no female imam or mullah, well there is no female priest, father, pope, or rabbi.

Mohammed did marry Aisha when she was 6 years old, however, she remained a virgin until she hit puberty. During that era, when a girl hit puberty she was considered an adult. Mary, mother of Jesus, was married to 80-90 year old Joseph at age 12-15. Abraham, at age 86, bore Ishmael from his 15 year old wife. Because we have progressed as a society, we now understand the implications and absurdity behind child marriages, but back then — clearly they did not.

Islam’s rules on polygamy are strict and are clearly not adhered to today. The concept of four wives emerged during a time of war when there were many widows. Thus, men were allowed to marry more than one woman, so long as, each wife was treated equally in both respect and wealth.

As for the Yemeni story — you are confusing a ideologies of a corrupt uneducated society with religion. These individuals believe such practices to be permissive, when in fact, these practices have emerged from sadistic pedophiles who used religion as means to carry out their sexual desires. You won’t see someone saying “marrying 12 year olds with over 20 wives is still practiced in Christian nations” (in reference to the Mormans).

No man made religion, especially one that is followed by approximately 25% of the world, would allow blatant abuses. It is the misinterpretation of religions by select fanatics that gives religion a bad name. Mix politics, religion and a lack of education and you got yourself a personal robot.

Please don’t take the above as an argument or directed towards you in anger. I myself don’t believe in any man-made religion and since all religion is man-made — yeah…

Where ever there are Muslims, the “religion of peace” has trouble getting on with their neighbors. Jewish, Christian, gay, Hindu, Russian, American, Danish – it doesn’t matter. Muslims hate everyone equally (well, maybe Jews and Christians more).

Even when Islam tries to smile and put on a friendly face, as it does in this piece of propaganda, it bares its teeth like some grotesque skeleton.
Even when “moderate” Muslims distance themselves from extremists among them, we see that it is a religion that treats women as worth only one half of a man, suborns the execution of apostates and gays, and promotes hatred against Jews and Christians (“take not the Jews and Christians for your friends” (Koran, 5:51) and endorses polygamy.
The film talks about Muslim women being able to vote and hold positions of authority. Can anyone name a female Imam or Mullah? Why are there no women clerics in Islam?
I kept waiting for the film to get around to mentioning Aisha, but it didn’t. She was one of Mohammed’s dozen or so wives. She was six when he married her and nine when he consummated the marriage, according to the Hadith. A 12-year-old girl in Yemen recently died in childbirth because this barbaric practice of marrying girls even before puberty is still practised in some Islamic countries.
Ever since the fatwa against Salman Rushdie was issued, I have found myself forced to learn more about Islam than I ever cared to. Some of us are not fooled by the “religion of peace.”

that’s an idiotic question, and I’ll tell u why! Life is about reproduction and passing on your genes to the next generation. If women were allowed multiple husbands, then how can she for sure be accurate as to who the father of that child is? Without Jeremy Kyle or Maury Povich the men or the women would not be in the know. How many men would want to share their wife with loads of other men? Equally, women would not want to share their husbands with other women… most muslims do not accept polygamy. It is implemented into the religion as men are generally the protectors of women (don’t retaliate with women are independent and all that crap, end of the day, women need men and vice versa) …. Where a man as a protector and a provider can (if he has the means to) look after his wives with money, security etc, how do you think a woman is going to be able to look after several men in one day? IF a woman had multiple husbands, the husband is naturally going to want to look after her children, but he would question the paternity of the children wouldn’t he? How many men would honestly want to keep providing for a woman and the kids if he isnt even sure the kids are his? Very few I tell you. You should actually think about the reasons why polygamy for a man to have several wives is acceptable as opposed to a woman having multiple husbands. The fact you even ask the question to try and make a point only proves you are ignorant as you do not care to look at the other side of the story. Polygamy is not a religious thing, it’s a HUMAN thing, don’t be so quick to blame it on religion. Do you research. Learn the facts. Stop asking stupid questions.

this stage you’d think people would at least have the decency to respect all the religions regardless of differences in view. you just have to ‘agree to disagree.’ and if you want answers for such situations etc have the common sense to ‘Ask’ the question rather than criticize the religion and it’s teachings.

theres so much killing, abuse, war etc not because of religion and their differences but because our society and nation/s are and have been too busy pointing the finger at someone or something (religion etc) and so selfish as to wanting everything for themselves.

Every teaching (verse) in the Bible, Qur’an or any spiritual scripture has a context. so before judging the teaching lets try and understand the context (actions occurring at the time, history, who those verses were directed to etc). all the verses have more than merely words. commentary are available for a-lot of the scriptures.

i’ve realized someone asked something about homosexuals. well, think about it- is that even biologically compatible.

Lets not criticize but accept and respect one another.
