Unholy War
Dispatches investigates the violence and intimidation facing Muslims who convert to Christianity in Britain. Dispatches reporter Antony Barnett meets former Muslims who now live under the threat of reprisals from their former communities. Many are still living in fear. He interviews a family who have been driven out of their home and a convert whose brother was beaten close to death.
The investigation uncovers a network of churches supporting converts from Islam who have to worship under a veil of secrecy. It is estimated there are as many as 3,000 Muslims who have converted to Christianity living in Britain.
Converting to another religion for a Muslim is not just considered a taboo act by some believers. Certain Islamic texts demand converts – also known as apostates – be punished severely for deserting their faith. In several Islamic states, the death penalty is imposed. Here in Britain, Dispatches discovers a form of mob justice is taking place on our streets. A concerned Christian bishop tells Dispatches that it may not be long before a British convert is killed, and implores Muslim leaders to take action. (Excerpt from channel4.com)

It’s everywhere the same.
Islam is the most dangerous form of brainwashing.
It’s the religion of the antichrist.
May 3rd, 2009 at 16:17
All religion are basically covertly or overtly anti-human but all are pro-alien/god/divinity/etc.
May 14th, 2009 at 14:43
Its same for all religions. Christians coverted to islam have greater threats and fears which are not shown on media. Btw christians put cross all the times on thier necks on which jesus was crucified, it means christians are antichrist. Simple maths

I wish both Christianity and Islam preached more about love, peace, and acceptance.

Dre… did you ever think it’s just a religion that has some extreme laws and etc, that has nothing to do with an anti-christ…
September 13th, 2009 at 01:32
this is inbelievable, how is islam the anti-christ when jesus is as much of a prophet to us as muhammed? we don’t believe he’s the son of god, but everything else is the same as christianity with jesus. leviticus is FULL of these same “extreme laws” in the old testament, so before you all go on about how we’re extremists, look at your own religion. no religion is morally right, but it doesn’t mean we all go around doing these things that people find extreme. every religion has extremists as well, look at the westboro baptist chuch, they’re christian extremists.
don’t let cattle graze with other kinds of cattle. – leviticus 19:19
don’t have a variety of crops on the same field. – leviticus 19:19
don’t wear clothes made of more than one fabric. – leviticus 19:19
don’t cut your hair nor shave. – leviticus 19:27
any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. – leviticus 20:9
if a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. – Leviticus 20:10
if a man sleeps with his father’s wife, both him and his father’s wife is to be put to death. – leviticus 20:11
if a man sleeps with his wife and her mother they are all to be burnt to death. – leviticus 20:14
if a man or woman has sex with an animal, both human and animal must be killed. – leviticus 20:15-16
if a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be cut off from their people. – leviticus 20:18
psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. – leviticus 20:27
if a priest’s daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake. – leviticus 21:9
people who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of god. – leviticus 21:17-18
anyone who curses or blasphemes god, should be stoned to death by the community. – leviticus 24:14-16
let’s not forget deuteronomy!!!
anyone who dreams or prophesizes anything that is against god, or anyone who tries to turn you from god, is to be put to death. – deuteronomy 13:5
if anyone, even your own family suggests worshipping another god, kill them. – deuteronomy 13:6-10
if you find out a city worships a different god, destroy the city and kill all of it’s inhabitants, even the animals. – deuteronomy 13:12-15
kill anyone with a different religion. – deuteronomy 17:2-7
before all of you start mocking islam, look at your own religion. athiests, that means you too. you say you don’t follow a religion, but athiesm is very much as much a religion as mormons, and scientology. if you say to yourself “well, we don’t follow those rules”, than just how much of a christian are you? not much really. it’s funny how islam is the newest religion, yet the only unchanged and truely old religion, moreso than christianity.

“look at the westboro baptist chuch, they’re christian extremists.” They may (are) extreme in their interpretation, but could someone show me where even these nuts have blown themselves up in the name of Christ and taken others with them?
You’re citing passages from the Bible and apparently do not know what they’re about. For one thing, they’re all OLD testament, back in the days when Israel was under a THEOCRACY. Christianity is a theocracy NOWHERE in the world. It was at one time, and when professors of Christ went astray, well, God took them out (hence, there are no Christian theocracies today).
But your Allah cannot even keep his own people in line!
In fact, he’s so impotent, he doesn’t even punish Osama Bin Laden.
Christianity did not even exist at the time of the Old Testament.

don’t let cattle graze with other kinds of cattle. – leviticus 19:19 and there’s something wrong with this? How is this extreme? For the record, you don’t mix herds.
don’t have a variety of crops on the same field. – leviticus 19:19 If you understood anything about horticulture you would know why this one.
don’t wear clothes made of more than one fabric. – leviticus 19:19- and this is extremist how???? I wear only 100% cotton. I’m rash-free but hardly an extremist lol
don’t cut your hair nor shave. – leviticus 19:27 Again, how is this extreme?
any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. – leviticus 20:9 This is where a good bible study could help you, dude. To “curse” ones parents back then wasn’t about cussing at the old man, it was to DISHONOR them. And not by dating someone they didn’t like. It’s about trying to harm your parents physically.
if a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. – Leviticus 20:10 Equal rights! Yeah bubba! But in Islam, the woman gets stoned while the man walks in 99.9% of the cases.
if a man sleeps with his father’s wife, both him and his father’s wife is to be put to death. – leviticus 20:11 Again we are talking a theocracy here. Hey, guess why you don’t have sex with your papas wife? Dude, are you condoning the Ptolemies???
You’re again referencing a historical theocracy which no longer exists and hasn’t existed for thousands of years. The old testament includes all of this, not so that we’ll DO it, but so that we will appreciate GRACE and forgiveness all the more!

my whole point behind it wasn’t that christians are worse or anything like that, but that people seem to overlook strange parts in religion that have been changed to be more “accepted” in more modern times. just because there are little bits and pieces that can be picked out of the quran to justify what these extremists are doing, doesn’t mean the remaining 1.5-1.7 billion muslims believe the same thing. different christian sects have extremist tendencies also. you’re response i’m sure from your comments left would be “but they haven’t done anything”. alright, well put yourself in some of those extremists’ shoes. i’m not AT ALL advocating, or saying that they are at all right for anything they do. i disagree completely with them in all ways, but if your race/religion was intruded on, or segregated to the point where you looked like animals, were bashed, and all of this stuff, would you not feel hatred towards the enemy? sure you would, but not enough to do anything “extreme”. now put yourself in the percentage of the christian extremists which do exist, they would feel provoked enough to do something extreme! but this isn’t happening, because christians aren’t the enemy, it’s the muslims. they didn’t just wake up one day and decide to do all this stupid shit with blowing themselves up. televangelists across north america preach hatred towards muslims (not all, but some if you look it up) and in SOME cases, advocate doing anything to rid of these people, it doesn’t get into specifics, but to RID a majority of people because they don’t believe what you believe? it’s nonsense, and this stuff is looked over because christians aren’t the enemy, muslims are. people walk into those chruches in the thousands because they believe in christianity, and obviously agree with the preaching, that’s just breeding more hatred, and intolerance for the future! there are a few thousand extremists out of a billion and a half muslims, yet you ask any uneducated non-muslim what they’re opinion is about us, and they’d say what? we blow ourselves up, blah blah blah. same old story because of peoples ignorance. and “our allah” is god. the quran originates in arabic, therefore we wouldn’t call him god because god is an english term for him, we call him allah. allah doesn’t preach or teach in the quran, it’s the prophet muhammed. that is again another intolerant act upon you. i’ll admit defeat in the fact that some things i mentioned from the old testament aren’t “radical” or “extreme”, but keep in mind that a small percentage (we’re talking about decimals here) of muslims want to do crazy extremist things, yet we all get grouped together as radicalists because some people want to do something they believe is right in the name of a religion of a billion and a half people. if you’re ignorant enough to generalize us as being the same way all together, then there is obviously nothing to get through to you about. haven’t you ever heard the expression to never judge a book by its cover? to pretty much know what you’re talking about before saying something so ’set in stone’? common sense in this case is obviously not so common.

The DOCUMENTARY: This documentary didn’t even seem extreme to me. They did show the one imam that at least publicly espoused totally non-violent action. They were harsh on evangelical Christians trying to convert Muslims through what they thought were deceptive means. They showed both side; it’s not politically correct to go against Islam in this day and age. It’s very brave of them to do this documentary. They did a good job.
Note: Shame on the Caleb Project for not sticking to their guns! There is nothing wrong with helping and “targeting” the needed with the goal of winning as many as we can to Christ, Muslim or not. They let fear get the better of them there.
To Casey: After reading your comments, you have to also remember that many young women have been killed as an “honor killing” for not just converting to Christianity but whatever else they’ve done to dishonor Islam. Who knows how many are uncounted in Islamic states alone. Isn’t there even one girl in the news now in the U.S.A. afraid to go home for fear of death for her new Christian faith? She’s serious when she says that she thinks they will kill her.
The character of God remains unchanged; the Old Testament laws were so strict, because God was trying to prevent “moral tooth decay” that would totally destroy the nation of Israel and bring his judgment upon them prematurely. Unfortunately, like us all, were judged for sin and lost their nation needlessly eventually many years later.
God still hates sin (it still holds the “death penilty” for the soul), but judgment is postponed now until we face God personally after death (for the most part).
Many of the Levitical laws were brilliant for thier time, like not touching dead bodies (and separation of those that did), and burying your poop when you used the restroom in the camp; they prevented disease and had very good reasons for them.
The reason for the restrictions on physically deformed people in the temple and especially a priest’s role was because it was before the time of Christ’s “covering” for all of our “imperfections,” of which the chief is sin. I could look it up, and it does sound a bit harsh, but God also said that he looks at the heart, while man was the one that looked at the outward appearence (like in the selection of King David over his brothers).
Those unlucky people were not forbidden from salvation, but access to the temple and service only; remember the sore covered and crippled Lazareth was the one that went to Heaven in Jesus’ story while the wealthy rich man did not. Trust God’s judgments and instructions; they are based in love, not hate. I’m not so confident to say such about Islam’s priciples. Have you watched the documentary here on this website: “What the West Needs to Know about Islam”?

some gritty stuff. in my opinion any religon is as bad as the other. believe what u want, but dont go about ’saving’ people who dont want anything to do with it.

Religions are like paths toward a mountain, wherever you are is your starting point if you intend to climb and get to the summit of that mountain. In essence you cant leave your starting point and seek another. What am implying is religions are one among many ways of attaining self-esteem or self realization or maturity. The representation may appear to be different but the purpose is the same,it doesnt really matter which religion you belong to,it doesnt even matter if you are atheist or theist. In that regard theres no point in converting, but its also absurd when people attack others just because theyve decided to leave your religion, because it simply means you the attacker you have no slight idea of your religion, you are worse of than the person who has left your institution/box.
