The Periodic Table of VideosThe Periodic Table of Videos is a collaboration between the University of Nottingham's School of Chemistry and video journalist Brady Haran. They initially made videos about all 118 elements.

Tables charting the chemical elements have been around since the 19th century - but this modern version has a short video about each one.

They've done all 118 - but their job's not finished. Now they're updating all the videos with new stories, better samples and bigger experiments. For more info go to The Periodic Table of Videos.

silver was also used widely in medicine before the discovery of penicillin, it was also used to combat mrsa in hospitals all over the uk. colloidal silver also has uses in fighting many diseases and some say that this information has been kept from us due to the nature of the pharmaceutical machine.

Well, the research suggest it could be something applied topically to fight against MRSA, however it is more expensive than say honey or tea tree oil which has the same antibacterial effects, and a large amount of silver is toxic to the body. The main problem is systematic infections where the bacteria is inside your body and since silver is toxic, it is unable to do anything about that. The information isn't kept from anyone though, it was known for a long time, but never went through proper human trials. There are many companies now making dressings and catheters coated in nano silver.

I require all my science videos to have a frizzy haired professor.

    This does not disappoint.

Prof. Poliakov made a series called 12 Days of Christmas this December ('15) about all the gifts he received throughout the year. Very Funny. I wish young people everywhere would catch his childlike sense of excitement for every new discovery. 10/10
