Asteroids: The Good, the Bad and the UglyFamed for their ability to inflict Armageddon from outer space, asteroids are now revealing the secrets of how they are responsible for both life and death on our planet.

Armed with an array of powerful telescopes, scientists are finding up to 3000 new asteroids every night. And some are heading our way.

But astronomers have discovered that it's not the giant rocks that are the greatest danger - it's the small asteroids that pose a more immediate threat to Earth.

Researchers have explained the photon propulsion that propels these rocks across space, and have discovered that some asteroids are carrying a mysterious cargo of frost and ice across the solar system that could have helped start life on earth.

Wow! Evacuation plan. In the UK we cant even plan for snow.

This reminds me of the Bible verse in Revelation about the asteroid shower in Revelation 16:21 "And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven"
Is the NASA team going to take a poke at the wrong asteroid?

It says, "Watch the full documentary now (playlist – 1 hour)" where do I go on the Website to get the 1 hr version. This one is only 15 minutes long.

I am a relatively new subscriber so excuse my ignorance.

    Great doc.
The song at the end sounds very familiar. I think it fits perfect with the idea of this challenge to humanity as asteroids are one of the biggest threats that we can actually do something about but that require a collective effort on a global scale. Hope someone can recognize the song and post the title here.

wow. Another good one to watch. Imangine having a heavenly body named after you. I wonder why they didn't dispatch any monitoring devices when they found out about the Nubian dessert asteroid impact to film it or observe from a distance even though they only had few hours notice.

The video is played backwards, for those of you who are watching this make sure that you are playing this from the other way around.
