Scariest Places on EarthA nice collection of DVR recorded episodes from one of the most popular and original mini-series focusing on the paranormal.

This thought-provoking series has entertained millions. Created by FOX in 2000 running till 2006, this documentary broadcasted 48 episodes before it was canceled.

ABC Family Channel bought out by Fox (NBC) and later decided this was not a money maker for their future broadcasting audiences.

Limited VHS tapes were offered to outlets and very scarce to be found today. This series can only be viewed on the Syfy Channel (formerly SCI-FI), and the NBC horror channel Chiller.

The show features reported cases of the paranormal by sending an ordinary family to visit the location in a reality TV-style vigil.

Good God,this is UberKorny! At Pulaski, the three selected students were already terrified before they got there and highly vulnerable to the barrage of eerie suggestions made by the "Psychic investigator" designed to make them even jumpier. This might scare teenage girls at a slumber party,a highly excitable lot,but it ain't no paranormal investigation....and it's narrated by Lisa Simpson

    hahahahaha
to this day laura refuses to talk about what she has seen in the pine barrens

  • His Forever

That woman's voiceover is so creepy in a corny kind of way! Perfect! I love it! I don't believe in ghosts, but these look like interesting and entertaining episodes. Without that powerful "psychic" at Fort Pulaski interpreting what happened in each place, it wouldn't have been half as interesting, but Alton Illinois and The Queen Mary was the "scariest" so far! ;-)

You got to love the american notion of World and Earth...

the lady doing the voiceover played the physic in "The Poltergeist"
she creeped me out so much as a kid

  • Ramus73

Well I turned it off after only 1:50. Why have some annoying woman narrate text which is already on the screen? Hello? I can read thank you. And anyone that knows the slightest thing about body language will know the first "eyewitness" is lying through his teeth. No wonder Fox cancelled it.

  • Muzar

    narration: an old lady elf
    script: bored american redneck

  • Guest

Tried watching, too disjointed for me, what makes it laughable is that pussycat of a women voice trying to be scary. (LOL)

  • McGarvey

Carol Anne ... carol anne !!

  • His Forever

The voiceovers were my favorite part!

  • Luna_tone

I agree, the voice is super creepy. Kinda ruined these docs for me:(

  • IluvFilm2011

Wow. This "documentary" is a complete disappointment. Laughable, and not in a good way.

  • eyecandy_babydoll

haha wtf is with the lame old lady dwarf voiceover? it's so funny that I can't concentrate on the film. HAaha omg this should be a comedy

  • Cyberbard

That Voice over for the titles is so annoying.

  • http://www.facebook.com/BadMotherFukerBad Jesse James

Anyone ever seen 'The Exorcist'? That lady that you guys keep saying is 'a little elf/pussycat' is the little girl from the exorcist all grown up, LEARN YOUR HISTORY!

  • dayzie

The little girl from The Exorcist is Linda Blair. Perhaps you should check your facts before you get all high and mighty.

  • http://www.topdocumentaryfilms.com Epicurus

actually the narrator is Zelda Rubinstien she is the little weird looking ladies from such movies as Poltergeist.

what channel was this aired on..............oh right the syfy channel.

PS. I wanna kill the person who decided that the title voice over was a good idea.

  • emilyemily

I've gotten used to the weird voiceover lady, but in the Fort Pulanski episode I was so annoyed by the pyschic. If I were a student who had taken time to come and research something out there, I'd want a person to show me around who was professional. Yeah, a lot of bad things happened, but she was like f***ing breaking down and s***. You could tell the students felt sooo awkward.

jesse james i think you should revise your history, the voice over is the lady from the poltergeist

the only thing I hate about these types of shows, is the women screaming and running around freaked out. Yes I get the place is creepy but ffs, the only thing that is really scaring them at all is them expecting bad things and then they freak out over every little noise, but its an old building, there is gonna be subsidences and creaks and stuff, they keep scaring themselves, and its unbelieveably annoying. It makes me embarassed to be a woman watching these women.

  • asayla

Linda Blair was the host of this show.. but Zelda Rubenstein(Tangina from Poltergiest fame) was the voice over for the show...AND...the voice for the Excorcist was none other than the late great Mercedes McCaimbridge who did more than a hundred hours of demonic sounds and noises for that movie...she actually tortured herself so as to make the voices so horrible....also she never got more than an honorable mention for her sounds and voices for that movie...Just thought I'd mention that for the people who didnt know...

I was gone trash the guys who keep complaining about the voice.... but neaaah.. its ridicilous . I believe in a lot of things, but ghosts and orbs... these guys have ZERO evidence.

I stopped when the second video kicked in. The voice was unbearable, but when they started saying vampires and werewolves were real, that was a joke.

  • Raptor jones

Well if you, even remotely, believe in ghosts this doc ought to persuade you otherwise.

  • http://twitter.com/Newfoundlanders Newfoundland, CAD

The unseen woman's voice narrating is SO annoying LOL

  • Marisha415

the ridiculous narrator's voice made this documentary a joke..I couldn't watch more than two min..I dont know what the idea was behind that voice

  • 11Xbadalice

The narrator was the medium in the Movie Poltergeist, "Carolann, go into the light." Guess that makes her Qualified, Not!

  • Kyle

I tell you what, if you need a job, just set up a paranormal investigation company and watch the gullible suckers fork over their money.

  • Cindy Finch-Mass

The authenticity of the material is not dependant upon the choice of the narrator. Her voice is unique , and lends an air of spookiness. You know NOTHING about casting or marketing. You're an expert , NOT !
