Fourteen hundred years ago, a humble merchant who could not read or write changed the face of Arabia. Today, his influence has spread to every corner of the world including the United States. It is a story about the merchant, husband, father, statesman and warrior whom they consider the final prophet…, the main whose legacy continues to shape their lives today.
His father died before he was born, and his mother died when he was only six. But sheltered by a powerful uncle, he made a good start in life, established himself in a profitable business and married well. And then, at the age of 40, he was transformed. A man who could not read or write, he announced that he was the prophet of God. His name was Muhammad, and in the next 23 years he would bring peace to the warring pagan tribes of Arabia and establish the new religion of Islam, which today has 1.2 billion followers.
Three years in the making, Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet travels in the footsteps of the prophet to the Arabian desert and the holy city of Mecca where much of Muhammad's story unfolded. "There are six to seven million Muslims here in America, where Islam is the country's fastest growing religion, but many Americans are completely unfamiliar with the life story of the remarkable man who founded this religion 1400 years ago," says producer/director Michael Schwarz.

Wow quite a debate going on here. If you need to choose a religion than choose between Buddhism and Jainish. Both are very similar. These are mostly about promoting pacifism, love and compassion. Regardless of how much you try you cannot state that Islam is a religion of Peace go read the Quran in your own language. It teaches intolerance and divided the people of the world between Muslims and Non-Muslims. If you have a logical mind than eventually you will find out the fallacy of the religions of the book. I urge you to educate yourself and compare these religions with an objective perspective.
I am bosnian ''muslim''. In my country we drink, smoke, dance with friends and family. My grandmother is a feminist and my grandfather's idol is nietzsche. Every night girls and boys go in bars, caffee and flirt. Yes we had a war and yes thousands of us were killed by serbian ''christians'' but that has nothing to do with religion and croates christian too were killed by them and by us. We are all blood brothers and sisters. It was a political war because they didnt want bosnia to be independant, it wasnt a religious war.

I Respect others beliefs. There are Muslims, Christian, Jew, Hindus and there are non-Believers of any religion, and among them there are good honest people and very evil mad People. Religions are judge by the discipline of that particular person in that religion. I wish all non-Muslims to be Muslims. You may think its cruel. But if you learn to be a true Muslim You will understand.

What i Believe....
First human Being name is Adam, a Muslim and the First Prophet. And Noah, Abraham(pbuh), Moses(pbuh), David(pbuh), Jesus(pbuh) and Mohamed(pbuh) was the last Prophet of Allah. Like that there are 25 Prophet mentioned in the Qur'an.
The Greatest Gift given to human is there Brain.It is so Perfect that yet scientist were unable to find all the knowledge about brain. We are given choice to believe what ever we want. In other word the choice to the Correct path or the wrong one. And i am in correct path way. And I believe it.
As a Muslim I believe, There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of God. And the Last Prophet.

mohammed pbuh is the last prophet of God, believe it, dont believe it. Its your choice. But dont judge others that do believe it. And there are as many different kinds of muslims as there are jews, christians, hindu, etc.
How can Mohamad be the "propeht", be a prpohpet when Mohamad is an Ishmaelite and God chose Israel to be his priest. God told Abraham to put Ishmael and his mother a bondmaid away, he told Hager that he would bless Ishmael and that he would give him 12 princes and that his hand would be against his brother and every mans hand against him and the he would be a wild man. When Mohamd was visited by this evil spirit he did not know what it meant or was so he went to an uniformed christian and that christian told him that he must be a prophet and thats how he became a prophet. How can Mohamad be a prophet when God choseIsrael to be his priest? All the prophets, apostles and priest even the Mesiah Jesus Christ were Israelites. Mohamad was an Ishmaelite and had more than one wife God said a prophet should only have one wife. Mind you I am speaking of the Israel of God and not the converted Jew-wish people.
